An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Department for a highly motivated Technician. Applicants are invited from Engineering specialisms: Electronic and Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, as we are seeking to appoint a technician to support the Engineering Programme Area.
You will be involved in the maintenance of Electronic and Electrical equipment, Mechanical engineering equipment in the training laboratories, classrooms and workshops, liaising with the teaching teams and assist with the demonstration and preparation of equipment.
You will be able to demonstrate relevant industrial experience, with the confidence to work on your own initiative maintaining equipment and resources, liaising with suppliers to orders supplies / resources, setting up demonstrations and supporting the teaching staff during practical sessions, with an awareness of Health and Safety regulations appropriate to the Engineering Environment.
The successful applicant must have the following qualifications:
· Level 2 in maths and English or equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above
· Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Motor vehicle and or Electronic / Electrical Maintenance and Repair Engineering and or mechanical engineering Maintenance and Repair.
