Leicester College is seeking a dedicated Trainer Assessor to join our Launch Pad team – our Foundation Learning provision. This role focuses on delivering Personal Development and Enrichment sessions to learners aged 16–19 who may have been out of education or are working to improve their English, Maths, and soft skills.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of personal development over 3 days per week. These lessons will be engaging and supportive 90-minute sessions. Topics include:
Reflection, Resilience, and Wellbeing
Current Affairs and Social Justice
Independent Living and Financial Health
British Values and Prevent
You’ll work closely with the Programme Lead, who will support you in designing and delivering these sessions.
Our Learners:
We have a diverse cohort of students who may have joined Launch Pad for various reasons, these may include:
Be returning to education after a break
Gaining a qualification in English and maths
Be preparing to progress to vocational courses
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with young people in education, youth work, or similar settings
Knowledge of Personal Development, British Values, Prevent, and Inclusion
Ability to prepare and deliver engaging sessions on pre-agreed topics
A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (essential)
It is desirable that you hold an assessor qualification, however we welcome applicants who are willing to work towards this.
This job role is well suited to someone with a background in youth work or those interested in starting a career in post-16 education.
