We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Trainer Assessor with a passion for Gas Engineering and Plumbing and Domestic Heating and who can impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of apprentices on the Level 3 Gas Engineering and Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Apprenticeship standards.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team delivering high quality training and assessment. Primary duties include training and assessment of apprentices within their employed working environment, supporting them to ensure timely completion of their qualifications, build their NVQ portfolio’s and pass their Apprenticeship end point assessment (EPA).

The successful applicant will possess a range of skills relating to the Gas Engineering and Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Apprenticeship standards. You will also have the ability to work as part of a team, provide feedback in a way that motivates individuals and help apprentices overcome potential barriers to progression. We are looking for a positive, proactive, solutions focused individual to help us drive the provision to support our journey to outstanding.

Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards, E - portfolio’s (Smart Assessor) and experience of working with apprentices would be beneficial along with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' approach to tasks.

The successful candidate will need to have the following Qualifications:

Level 3 Qualification in relevant subject (Gas Engineering and or/ Domestic Plumbing)

Level 2 in maths and English

Hold an Assessor’s award or be willing to work towards one.
