We have an exciting opportunity for a Caretaker to join our Estates team at Linden Bridge School. We require a friendly, reliable, and flexible person who is conscientious and keen to make a difference and assist in keeping our premises and grounds to a high standard. You should have a good standard of maintenance experience and an understanding of health and safety parameters. Working within a school environment is desirable but not essential.
You will be responsible for general site maintenance with a varied skill set to include at least three of the following areas:
- general site maintenance (cleaning, litter picking, refilling consumables, etc.)
- able to use a variety of hand tools, drills, saws, etc.
- painting/decorating
- basic plumbing skills
- computer literate, using excel and word templates, etc.
- willing to drive a minibus
- manual handling (porterage) and working at heights (gutter cleaning)
- carrying out compliance checks on weekly & monthly basis, incl. but not limited to Fire Call point checks, Emergency light flick tests, Water temperature testing etc.. whilst ensuring all compliance checklists are completed & updated.
- managing a swimming pool
- computer literate, using in house database applications for estates helpdesk requests, emails, excel and word templates, etc.
Training can be provided on areas which you are not familiar with, where required.
This role is working 36 hour per week/52 weeks per year, part-time would be considered.
Your shift pattern will be Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm with an unpaid lunch break.
