Loughborough College Elite Sport is a highly successful department with over 2,000 learners. The department offers a wide range of provision up to L3 qualifications, working nationally with a broad range of funded programmes that includes: study programmes, apprenticeships, international, adult programmes and the Diploma in Sporting Excellence.
Working nationally with over 16 sport National Governing Bodies and a range of professional/semi-professional clubs, the Elite Sport Manager will work with partners to develop bespoke and engaging programmes to enable learners to progress through NGB dual career pathways.
The successful candidate will develop and lead learning programmes and develop creative and robust assessment strategies, ensuring high quality standards are achieved. This includes ensuring programmes meet all internal and external quality and funding requirements, carrying out Quality Assurance and providing outstanding line management skills to help manage and develop delivery staff.
The ideal candidate will have significant teaching, learning and assessment experience, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and work effectively in a large cross-curricular team. You will possess excellent planning and administration skills and be able to work to deadlines. The role will include offsite working and so an up to date/valid driver’s license is essential, access to a vehicle is desirable.
