Salary range (24,538 – 29,159) plus excellent pension benefits + generous annual leave

The Role

  • To be part of a team with collective responsibility for all buildings and external areas of the sites in the delivery of all estates service
  • To undertake and assist in undertaking all relevant activities to deliver estates services in line with our SLA standards, targets and frequencies
  • In the absence or the Estates Site(s) Lead Officer, lead, coordinate and manage the delivery of all estates services/activities to achieve not less than 95% statutory compliance

Skills and Experience

You will have experience of boilers and other plant room equipment coupled with knowledge of electrical circuits and distribution systems. You will be skilled in decorating, carpentry and plumbing repairs and maintenance, and have the ability to work in accordance with the College's health and safety procedures. You will have good literacy and numeracy skills and are able communicate in a calm and professional manner with students, staff and visitors at all level. You will have a Health and Safety Qualification level 2 or be willing to complete this as part of your professional development.

 As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an ‘Enhanced’ DBS (formerly CRB) check, along with a Children’s Barred List check if in regulated activity.  Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove to be unsatisfactory to the College.  Self-disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process.  If you fail to make a full disclosure or provide sight of your DBS certificate then your offer of employment is likely to be withdrawn.
