About the Role
We are looking for a creative, inspiring and learner‑focused Lecturer in Performing Arts (SEND) to join our supportive SEND team.
You will deliver inclusive Performing Arts programmes to learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities, from Entry Level to Level 1. Teaching will focus on creative expression while developing confidence, communication skills, independence and employability.
Working closely with the Curriculum Team Manager and support staff, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons
- Support learners to achieve personalised EHCP outcomes
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
You will also help promote SEND Performing Arts through events, showcases and learner celebrations.
What Were Looking For
You will have experience in Performing Arts through teaching and/or industry practice, with experience of working with SEND learners (or a strong commitment to developing this expertise).
You will need:
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent)
- A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A creative, flexible and compassionate approach to teaching
