The Role

Working with the Exams Manager and Team Leaders to ensure the effective administration of the College examinations and examination process.  To administer all examinations, and the safeguarding of examination papers in compliance with JCQ and Awarding Organisations rules and regulations.  To manage the booking of online testing centres at Bromley and Orpington sites and other physical resources and space used for examinations in compliance with JCQ and Awarding Organisation rules and regulations.  Co-ordinate the scheduling of online exam timetable, invigilators, and additional support for learners in compliance with JCQ and Awarding Organisation rules and regulations.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be a team player and be able to work under pressure.  Ideally, we would like a candidate that has worked in an educational environment, desirably in exams or MIS and be familiar with or know of Joint Council for Qualifications.  To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll also have organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an ‘Enhanced’ DBS (formerly CRB) check, along with a Children’s Barred List check if in regulated activity.  Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove to be unsatisfactory to the College.  Self-disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process.  If you fail to make a full disclosure or provide sight of your DBS certificate then your offer of employment is likely to be withdrawn.
