To support learners to access the workplace, develop relevant skills and progress into employment. The ideal candidate will assist and support interns in preparing for interviews, developing CV’s and writing skills, as well as undertaking job matches and analysis. The candidate will also work with employers to share information, introduce interns, offer advice and ensure interns are meeting workplace standards and expectations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Job Coach qualification or willingness to work towards and complete one, as well as a good standard of general education.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively maintain good working relationships with students, employers, teachers, parent/carers and other agencies. Th ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as excellent written and verbal skills are crucial in being successful in this role.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an ‘Enhanced’ DBS (formerly CRB) check, along with a Children’s Barred List check if in regulated activity. Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove to be unsatisfactory to the College. Self-disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process.
