The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our team.
You will be teaching young students of varying abilities from Functional Skills Level E and 2 and GCSE English. You will work closely with the Assistant Director of English on the expansion and development of the English department, helping us to deliver the highest quality education for every student.
With your valuable industry experience, you will help inspire the next generation of skilled experts, supporting people from all backgrounds to achieve their career and life ambitions.
You will also play a key role in promoting the courses across the English curriculum area, taking part in marketing events and sharing your experiences as an English teacher.
Skills and Experience
For this role, you will need to have proven experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience. You will have achieved a degree in English related subject and a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) and be a qualified FE teacher (or be willing to work towards this).
You will need to have great communication skills - able to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups, in an engaging way. You will also need efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
