Class Teacher (Fixed Term Maternity Contract)
September 1st, 2025, to August 31st, 2026 (or sooner if the postholder returns)

The Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher to be part of our team ensuring excellence in the learning of children at St Peter’s. This role is to cover the maternity leave of the postholder. The role could be in any year group from years 1 to 5 and decisions will be made about year group placement, following appointment and in discussion with the successful candidate. St Peter’s is a 630 place primary with beautiful, well-resourced buildings set in lovely green surroundings. It is a welcoming inclusive school with a strong Christian ethos and was judged to be ‘Excellent’ in the last SIAMs (church school) inspection in February 2020 and ‘Outstanding’ in our last Ofsted inspection in February 2023. We are a member of the Lighthouse Schools’ Partnership and one of 34 National English Hubs. We have a clear pedagogy, exciting curriculum, and high expectations of all members of our school community.
