About the Role
We don't just "make videos"; we build brands and tell the stories of over 30,000 students. We are looking for a Video Editor with a fresh perspective who thrives on collaboration. You’ll be joining a supportive environment that champions creative freedom, where you are encouraged to experiment with new styles, cutting-edge tools, and innovative storytelling techniques.
Luminate Education Group is one of the UK’s largest and most influential education collectives. Our Marketing department operates like a high-energy in-house agency, bringing together a talented mix of graphic designers, animators, copywriters, and filmmakers. We represent a diverse collection of FE colleges, each with its own unique local identity and community impact.
What You Will Do
As our Video Editor, you will be essential to our post-production workflow. You won't just be "cutting clips" - you’ll be a visual storyteller. Working closely with our Film Producer and Editor, you will:
- Lead the Edit: Take ownership of campaigns, from initial assembly to the final, polished delivery.
- Master Social-First Content: Create native, high-energy content for TikTok, YouTube, and Meta that stops the scroll and speaks the language of a youth audience.
- Elevate with Motion: Use After Effects to add that extra layer of "pop" with kinetic typography and dynamic transitions.
- Innovate with AI: Stay ahead of the curve by integrating AI-assisted tools into your workflow to keep our output fresh and efficient.
- Get Stuck In: Head out on-site to assist with shoots, managing and transporting kit between various campus locations and external shoot sites
About You
- Technically Minded: You have an understanding of Premiere Pro, After Effects and Capcut and be keen to develop in these
- Social Native: You understand trends, algorithms, and how to hook a Gen Z audience in the first three seconds.
- Detail Driven: You have a sharp eye for colour grading and a keen ear for sound design.
- Collaborative Spirit: You’re a team player who can take a brief from a non-creative stakeholder and turn it into something spectacular.
- Problem Solver: You can look at a hard drive of raw footage and see the story waiting to be told.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is required (or the ability to travel flexibly between Group campuses and shoot locations to transport production equipment).
We hire for attitude and train for skill. If you have a hunger to learn and grow, you’ll fit right in, even if you don't check every box.
