Job overview

An exciting opportunity to undertake the role of Interim Head of Quality at Macclesfield College has arisen. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced professional who is enthusiastic, passionate and who strives for excellence.

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality leadership in the areas of teaching practice, quality and performance to ensure that the College delivers high quality learning, teaching and assessment that meets the needs of students and employers. The Head of Quality will provide expert advice to the Principal and senior managers on quality and performance matters and learning and teaching practices.

The Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate

  • Relevant degree and professional recognised teaching qualification
  • Significant experience of practical understanding of effective teaching
  • Learning and assessment strategies
  • Have a thorough understanding of quality assurance systems used in the
  • Learning and skills sector
  • Evidence of strong commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience of working in the FE Sector
