We are currently looking for a technically qualified and experienced term time only Technician/Facilitator to provide an effective and efficient technical service to teaching in the Creative Industries curriculum area.

The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum L3 Music related qualification and/or relevant industry experience in order to support teaching staff through setting-up specialist equipment for Music classes. This includes, but not limited to, experience in using DAWs (e.g. Logic / Ableton), setting up multi-track recording sessions and facilitating live sound at events. Other duties will include the servicing/ordering of specialist materials and equipment, monitoring/implementing our equipment loan club facility and ensuring we are compliant with health and safety policies. 

You will prepare materials, set up and check equipment for use in practical classes, assessment and exams. You need to be a team player, well organised, capable of multi-tasking and possess a full range of music technician skills. Good practical musical instrumental knowledge and knowledge of specialist music software would be preferred.

The campus benefits from excellent music facilities including a state-of-the-art recording studio/booths, smaller project studio, live sound performance space (with PA/lighting rig), two Mac suites including MIDI controllers and a number of practice rooms.
