The Role:

As a part time Lecturer in Property Maintenance, you will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of courses, including college-based qualifications and apprenticeships from entry level to Level 3. You’ll teach accredited property maintenance qualifications both on campus and at employer premises, ensuring learners gain the technical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to thrive in the industry. This role also involves working closely with employers, awarding bodies, and internal teams to design flexible, industry-relevant training programmes that meet workforce development needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Accredited Training: Teach property maintenance qualifications both on campus and at employer premises, covering a range of skills such as basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, and general repairs.
  • Design Flexible Programmes: Create and deliver training that meets industry standards and employer needs, ensuring learners gain practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Assess and Support Learners: Conduct diagnostic assessments, develop individual learning plans, and provide regular feedback to help learners progress from induction to achievement.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure all training and assessment activities meet awarding body requirements and adhere to QCA frameworks.
  • Employer Liaison: Act as a key contact between the College, employers, and awarding bodies to support placements, course design, and customised training solutions.

Who You Are:

  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Property Maintenance or a related trade.
  • Practical, on-site experience across a range of property maintenance activities.
  • Willingness to complete a teaching qualification and assessor qualification (support provided).
  • Strong commitment to student success and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Equality, Diversity, and Safeguarding principles.
