The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer in Science to join our dynamic team. You will deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of Science programmes, including BTEC Applied Science (Levels 1-3), Access to HE, and GSCE Science for adult learners. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to curriculum development and support learners from diverse backgrounds to achieve their full potential.


Key Responsibilties:

  • Teach and assess learners across a range of Science courses from Entry Level to Level 3.
  • Act as a personal tutor/course coordinator, supporting student progress and wellbeing
  • Contribute to curriculum development in line with national standards and local needs.
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials.
  • provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
  • participate in student recruitment, induction and tracking process.
  • Liaise with employers and external agencies to support student progression.
  • Maintain accurate course records and contribute to quality assurance process.

 

Who You Are:

You hold a degree in Biology, Chemistry or Physics or a related subject and a recognised teaching qualification. You bring experience of successful and innovative teaching in Science, with the ability to engage learners of all ages and backgrounds. You are a strong communicator, committed to inclusive education, and have a clear understanding of safeguarding and equality and diversity in an improvement of the curriculum and student experience.
