The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supported Learning Manager to manage the delivery of high-quality support for learners with additional needs. Working under the Senior Curriculum Manager for Supported Learning, you will play a key role in shaping inclusive learning environments, managing a team of support staff, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure every learner receives the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Line manage support staff and oversee operational delivery within the Supported Learning team.
Work closely with SCMs to design and implement tailored support for learners, including those with EHCPs and High Needs.
Lead on performance development, observations, and budget control.
Chair annual reviews, MAP meetings, and liaise with external agencies, families, and local authorities.
Ensure support plans are up to date and that learners’ progress is effectively monitored.
Support recruitment, training, and development of staff, including PBS training.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to funding and quality assurance processes.
Stay informed on sector best practice and funding regulations.
Who You Are:
You are a confident and compassionate leader with a strong background in supporting learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You hold a recognised qualification in Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour (Level 3 or above), and have experience in line management, EHCP processes, and delivering staff training. Your excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills enable you to build effective relationships and lead a team with clarity and purpose.
