Library Information Literacy Skills Adviser

(Temporary Maternity Cover to April 2022)

£22,445 - £25,599 per annum

This is an exciting position within a busy college Learning Resources Centre. Your main role will be to deliver a range of information skills workshops and 1-2-1 support which matches the needs of students studying on programmes from Entry Level to Degree Level. In addition, you will work with other members of the team to assist in the day-to-day running of the Learning Resource Centre and carry out a range of associated duties including issuing and returning of library materials, shelving and tidying and answering enquiries.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a degree or above in a Library or Education related discipline. Ideally you should have some experience working in a library and have the skills to teach information literacy to learners with a wide range of abilities.

To be successful in the role you will need to have very good communication skills and relish the opportunity to work with further and higher education students. You will need to have good ILT skills and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

This fixed term post will be ideal for recently graduated applicants.
