Newbury College is looking for a part-time Assessor for both our Childcare and Health & Social Care Apprentices. You will be required to visit learners at external employer venues (typically within 10 miles from Newbury College) and will be responsible for training, coaching, mentoring and assessing learners towards the achievement of their Apprenticeship Standard. Please see the job description attached for more information of duties within this role. We currently have 4 learners looking to start each of the Apprenticeships with Newbury College, however there is scope for growth within this area.
This is a flexible part time role, based on the following pay rates:
- 3 hours per month per learner at £13.08 per hour
- £45.77 per month meeting/admin time
- Mileage at 40p per mile
You must have:
- An assessor qualification (A1/D32&D33)
- An internal verifier qualification (V1/D34)
- Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care or Childcare
It would be beneficial if you also have:
- • A teaching qualification
- • Experience of working in further education
- • IQA qualification
