New bury College is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and delivery of high-quality reporting manager and dashboards that empower decision-making across the institution.
This is a pivotal role where your expertise will directly influence the College’s ability to deliver outstanding education and services.
As our Business Intelligence Developer, you will:
• Lead on the development of dashboards, KPI reporting, and data solutions that support strategic decisions.
• Design and produce reports using Power BI, SSRS, and SQL, combining data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with staff across the College to understand their needs and remove barriers to accessing data.
• Provide training, documentation, and support to ensure reports are clear, accurate, and user-friendly.
• Analyse data sets and guide colleagues in interpreting results.
• Contribute to upgrades of College MIS systems and proactively suggest improvements to processes and data quality.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
• Strong knowledge of databases and data warehouses, with advanced SQL skills.
• Experience developing reporting solutions using Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, and SharePoint.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and manage a demanding workload.
• A values-driven approach, with attention to detail and a desire to continuously develop yourself.
Essential qualifications:
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
• Higher National qualification or equivalent experience in the Further Education sector.
