Career Coach- Construction-

Temp until October 2023

18 hours per week

42 Weeks a Year

£8,153.52 - £9,919.27 Actual,( £18,341 - £22,313 FTE )

We are currently looking for a Career Coach to join our expanding team. This is a fundamental role that requires the successful candidate to work with our learners to find meaningful employment opportunities, supporting our “careers not courses” approach within Newbury College.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the set up and preparation of work experience and industrial placements, liaise with employers and monitor those placements and to provide in-work coaching to optimise employment opportunities for employment and training. The candidate will be a fundamental role in the reviews and tracking of placements for the new T levels in Building Services Engineering and On site Construction.

You will be required to work 18 hours per week on a term-time only basis.

You will have the following.

1. A minimum of level 2 (GCSE) English and Maths or equivalent

2. BASE qualified for in-work support (or working towards)

3. L3 Teaching qualification and/or L3 IAG (or working towards)

It would be desirable if you also have:

1.Experience of working in the Construction sector

2. A qualification in care or learning support

3. Knowledge of SEN learners

4. Experience of learners accessing work experience

5. A first Aid qualification
