Engineering Lecturer – University Centre

Hours: 18.5 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary: £37,533 FTE / £18,766 Actual

We are excited to offer this new opportunity for an Engineering Lecturer, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, industry-informed teaching that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in the engineering sector.

In this role you will:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across engineering programmes, ensuring alignment with university and exam board standards.

• Assess and verify student work, both on campus and in workplace settings, maintaining accurate records and performance tracking.

• Liaise with validating bodies and universities to ensure accurate student registration, assessment, and accreditation processes.

• Contribute to quality assurance, attending validation meetings and supporting continuous improvement of the programme.

• Provide pastoral support, ensuring students are inducted properly and receive appropriate guidance throughout their studies.

Criteria

Essential criteria:

• Level 6 in related subject

• 2 years teaching experience of the following subjects:

CAD/ CAM

Lean Manufacturing

Engineering and Professional Management

Degree Level Student Projects

Desirable criteria:

• Level 7 or 8 in related subject

• Certificate in Education/PGCE or QTS through other valid qualification pathways or working towards

• Delivering and organising designated area programmes

• Experience of working in a university educational setting
