About the role:
As a GCSE Maths Lecturer at Newbury College, you will play a key role in supporting learners to build confidence, develop essential numeracy skills, and achieve their academic goals. You’ll deliver engaging and high quality lessons across a range of maths pathways, including Functional Skills and GCSE, ensuring each student receives the right level of challenge and support. Working closely with curriculum teams, you will contribute to continual improvement in teaching, learning and assessment while helping learners progress into further study, apprenticeships, and employment.

Criteria:
Essential:
• Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification in Maths
• PTTLS / C&G 7407 or working towards a teaching qualification
• Experience teaching GCSE Maths to 16–18 and/or adult learners
• Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
• Flexible, supportive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
• Degree or higher qualification in Maths
• Cert Ed, DTLLS, PGCE, or Assessor Award
• Experience with curriculum development, exams, or A Level Maths
