Higher Education Student Progression and Academic Support Coach

Salary: £4,114 (£18,341.28 FTE)

10 hours per week

38 weeks per year, Term Time Only

Newbury College is looking a Higher Education Student Progression and Academic Support Coach to join our small and friendly curriculum support team.

You will be responsible for a case load of students, providing pastoral support, including enabling students to engage in personal development and employability planning, by supporting academic staff in the facilitation of personal academic tutoring across the University Centre at Newbury College.

You must have:

• Qualification at a degree level

• First aid qualification

• Experience of working with young people or adults with moderate and severe learning difficulties and/or disabilities

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to relate to a range of individuals

It would be beneficial if you also have:

• Manual Handling training

• A qualification in care or learning support.

• Experience of working in an higher education environment
