This is a newly created role and is in partnership with Berkshire Education Employer Partnership (BEEP) AND Adviza. This is a part-time role, working 18.5 hours per week (based on 52 weeks per year) and is a fixed term contract until February 2023. This role will be solely funded by the European Social Berkshire Education Employer Partnership (BEEP) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults; and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment

We are looking for an Intensive Support Advisor to join our Employer Engagement team at Newbury College. The aim of this role is to support vulnerable and disadvantaged young people from various target groups who are at risk of becoming long term NEET and move them into positive outcomes. The successful candidate will be able to provide individualised, intensive support to young people who are NEET after leaving school: through employer engagement opportunities, help them access further learning, training, apprenticeships and employment. You will also be required to provide intensive support to the young person and the employer as required to ensure all work experience placements are beneficial and managed effectively.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• A level 6 careers IAG qualification

• Experience of working with NEET/ at risk of NEET young people

• Enthusiasm and determination for seeing a project through

• Experience of working with young people in a variety of settings and from a range of social and cultural backgrounds

• Experience of developing provision and delivery with multidisciplinary teams or groups

• Experience of working with statutory and voluntary organisations supporting young people

• Ability to liaise and develop innovative provision to engage young people

• Substantial experience of delivering training/development sessions to young people on a

variety of topics

• The ability to balance competing priorities

• Experience of co-ordinating activities of many staff to meet clear objectives

• The ability to collate information and evidence to support the outcomes of a specific project

It would also be helpful if you have the following:

• Graduate and/or holds a professional qualification young person focussed discipline e.g. Youth Work, Careers Guidance, Teaching, Social Work, Education Welfare

• Experience of working with employers and educational providers

• Experience of leading and/or delivering on outcome-based projects

• Experience of influencing peers, line managers and external organisations to contribute to the delivery of objectives
