Could you help students develop the confidence, problem-solving skills and mathematical understanding they need to succeed in education, employment and everyday life?

About the role:

We are excited to offer this opportunity for a supportive, enthusiastic and student-focused Maths Learning Coach to join our team.

As a Maths Learning Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve success in GCSE Maths and other maths provision. Similar to an Academic Support Coach, this role focuses specifically on maths, providing targeted support to help learners develop confidence, improve attainment and achieve their full potential.

Working closely with maths lecturers, you will provide high-quality in-class support, deliver targeted interventions and help learners overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and make sustained progress. You will support a diverse range of learners, including those with SEND, learning difficulties, high needs and low prior attainment, adapting activities and explanations to meet individual needs.

You will also contribute to learner attendance, engagement and achievement through effective communication with staff, students and support teams. In addition, you will provide short-term lesson cover using pre-prepared resources, develop engaging learning materials and classroom displays, and help create a positive, inclusive and purposeful learning environment where all students can thrive.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys supporting young people to develop the numeracy, problem-solving and analytical skills that are essential for success both in college and beyond.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about supporting students to achieve success in Maths 🔢

• Patient, approachable and able to build positive relationships with young people 🤝

• Confident delivering one-to-one and small group interventions 🌟

• Organised and able to monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records ✅

• Adaptable and comfortable supporting lessons and providing short-term cover 🔄

• Skilled at motivating learners and building confidence in Maths 📐

• IT confident and able to use digital learning platforms effectively 💻

• Collaborative, proactive and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment 🙌
