Academic Instructor - Science
FTE Salary - £24,903 - £25,917 / Annual Salary - £8,639 - £8,991
15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Science Team as an Academic Instructor. In this role you will provide in class learning support to individual students or small groups to support their learning. The support will be focused to ESOL students or those with identified learning difficulties mainly on our Level 1 and Level 2 courses. You will provide support as directed by the Lecturer, which may include imparting subject knowledge and skills and monitoring and reporting student progress.
You will hold a Level 3 qualification in Science or have relevant skills at Level 3 alongside an understanding of different learning styles and how to support our learners. As a suitable candidate you would hold a Level 4 teaching qualification or be willing to complete this qualification as part of your employment with us. You will work well in a team and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
