Salary: £26,508 - £37,833 FTE

Actual Salary: £19,881 - £28,374 pa

Hours: 27.75 hours per week

About the role:

After successful launching the L3 Criminology Diploma in September 2020 we are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer to join our growing department in delivering this course. You will be required to co-teach across all units of this popular and growing course within our Social Sciences Pathway. A full time post may be considered if the successful candidate is able to teach a second subject.

In this role, you will:

• To promote Criminology as a subject in college marketing events, school liaison events and open days/evenings.

• To keep registers and student records as may be required in the preparation of statistics for external and internal use.

• To develop interesting and stimulating materials, lessons and activities for the L3 Criminology Diploma that will allow students to enhance and apply knowledge and develop understanding.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Educated to degree level (Level 5) or equivalent) in Criminology or related subject.

• Hold a full Level 5 teaching qualification (or be on a teaching programme) and hold QTLS or be working towards it.

• Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

• An in depth knowledge of the subject specialism to teach on a level 3 qualification.
