Veni, Vidi, Teachy

We came, we saw, we're hiring.

Are you ready to bring the past to life for the next generation of scholars? We're looking for someone who can turn toga talk into top grades and make the myths, battles and philosophies of the ancient world feel as fresh as tomorrow's TikTok trend.

We're not just looking for someone who knows their Thermopylae from their Thucydides, we want a teacher who can inspire, engage and guide learners through the wonders of Ancient History and Classical Civilisation. From planning epic lessons to supporting UCAS applications, you'll be a key figure in shaping futures and unlocking the wisdom of the ages.

You will:

  • Teach GCSE and A-Level Ancient History & Classical Civilisation
  • Act as a personal tutor, offering 1:1 guidance and supporting learners through their academic journey
  • Design schemes of work that would make Cicero proud
  • Create engaging materials and planning trips
  • Champion your subject at open days and college events

You will need:

  • A degree-level qualification
  • Level 5 teaching qualification (don't have? We can sponsor you as part of your professional development)
  • Experience tutoring Level 3 learners and prepping them for Higher Education
  • Excellent communication, time management and a collaborative spirit
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion

Why join us? You will be part of a supportive team in a thriving Sixth faculty, with access to professional development, modern teaching platforms and the chance to make a real impact. So if you're ready to trade your scrolls for a smartboard and help students conquer the classics, we'd love to hear from you!

Benefits: 11 weeks holiday including bank holidays, 28.68% College pension contribution to TPS, health care cash plan, free car parking, discounted Hair & Beauty, on-site gym, staff development & training, Pluxee Retail Discount Scheme, and more!

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.

Please note that this vacancy may close before the published closing date if sufficient applications are received so if you are interested, please apply as soon as possible. To apply, you MUST have Right to Work in the UK.
