At our Institute of Technology, we're not just teaching Engineering, we're building the next generation of innovators, problem-solver and industry leaders. As demand grows for skilled professionals in both practical and theoretical disciplines, we're looking for a passionate lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to lead the way, especially in delivering high-impact training for EAL apprenticeships.


Your toolbox should include:

  • Manual & CNC Turning and Milling
  • CNC Machine Operation and Programming
  • 3 Printing and Additive Manufacturing
  • Engineering Drawing and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Maintenance Machining Assemblies
  • PLCs, Wiring and Electrical Circuit Testing
  • Pneumatics and Fluid Power Systems
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Engineering Project Supervision

Bonus points if you have experience Level 2 and 3 EAL apprentices or vocational learners, understanding apprenticeship standards and work-based learning and can switch seamlessly between workshop demos and classroom lectures.


You will:

  • Deliver engaging, industry-relevant sessions
  • Supervise engineering projects and mentor apprentices
  • Collaborate with employers to enrich learning experiences
  • Promote safety, inclusion and excellence in everything you do
  • Lead programmes and contribute to curriculum development


You will need:

  • A degree in an engineering subject (Masters is desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring future engineers
