As demand grows for skilled professionals in both practical and theoretical disciplines, we're looking for a passionate lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to lead the way, especially in delivering high-impact training for EAL apprenticeships.
Your toolbox should include:
- Manual & CNC Turning and Milling
- CNC Machine Operation and Programming
- 3 Printing and Additive Manufacturing
- Engineering Drawing and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Maintenance Machining Assemblies
- PLCs, Wiring and Electrical Circuit Testing
- Pneumatics and Fluid Power Systems
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Project Supervision
Bonus points if you have experience Level 2 and 3 EAL apprentices or vocational learners, understanding apprenticeship standards and work-based learning and can switch seamlessly between workshop demos and classroom lectures.
You will:
- Deliver engaging, industry-relevant sessions
- Supervise engineering projects and mentor apprentices
- Collaborate with employers to enrich learning experiences
- Promote safety, inclusion and excellence in everything you do
- Lead programmes and contribute to curriculum development
You will need:
- A degree in an engineering subject (Masters is desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for teaching and inspiring future engineers
