Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre is an 11-18 comprehensive academy with c 1050 students currently on roll.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to join our well-established History Department. The position is full time, permanent and will preferably commence in September 2025.
The successful candidate should be an inspirational teacher who meets the Teacher Standards, with the ability to create a nurturing learning environment, together with a committed to bringing out the best in every student. They will be required to teach History to KS3 and KS4 in the first instance with the potential for teaching KS5.
We are looking for staff to join our team who are passionate about improving students’ life chances and capable of contributing to a highly effective and supportive teaching team and our extensive enrichment programme. In addition, we need a self-motivated and creative individual who can demonstrate good interpersonal skills and expertise in supporting the Head of Department’s work of leading, managing and growing teams.
