We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our college as Head of Strategic Growth and Partnerships. In this high-profile role, you will lead the college's engagement with employers, local and regional stakeholders, government bodies, and strategic partners to drive innovation, secure funding opportunities, and influence skills and workforce development priorities.
You'll act as the college's lead adviser on skills policy, devolution, economic development, and workforce planning, providing expert insight on emerging policy, funding reforms, and regional priorities. Working closely with senior leaders, you will translate intelligence into strategic opportunities that support growth, reputation, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with employers, Combined Authorities, Local Authorities, Chambers of Commerce, and other key stakeholders.
Identify and secure funding, growth, and investment opportunities.
Lead responses to skills policy developments, consultations, and devolution initiatives.
Represent the college at local, regional, and national forums.
Produce strategic briefings and recommendations for senior leadership.
Build the college's influence across skills, employment, and economic development networks.
About you
You will have experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, business growth, skills policy, economic development, or workforce planning, alongside excellent influencing, networking, and communication skills.
