ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic professional to join us as Deputy Head of Quality (Quality Assurance). This is a unique and pivotal role at an incredibly exciting time for the College, as we embark on the launch of our new strategic plan. This plan sets a clear vision for our future and positions us at the forefront of educational excellence in North Hertfordshire.
The ability to inspire, influence and motivate others is essential, as is a sound knowledge of external quality processes such as Ofsted EIF, EQA, QAA). Coaching, mentoring and highly developed interpersonal skills are also critical aspects of what it takes to lead this key team.

JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of North Hertfordshire College’s and Heart Learning & Development quality assurance and framework and processes across all provision, including 16-19 study programmes, adult education, apprenticeships and higher education. This role drives continuous improvement by monitoring academic standards, ensuring regulatory compliance across all provision (including HE), and supporting curriculum teams in achieving excellence. The postholder will lead on quality assurance, internal and external quality reviews, work collaboratively across departments, and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance student experience, outcomes, and institutional reputation.
