ABOUT THE ROLE:

This dual role has two responsibilities; situated in Student Services, your main responsibility will be working as a support coach for our students. An additional responsibility will be for the administration of bursaries.

Support coach: working alongside a second support coach, you will manage and support our students through 1:1s, and group sessions. Through a multi-agency approach, you will understand the needs of students across campus and ensure that our students access tailored support and access the support they need to stay on programme and be successful.

You will be dealing with a range of issues such as anxiety through to self-harm. You will triage walk-ins and also manage a caseload of students you will see on a regular basis.

You will have experience of working with young people and have knowledge/training in safeguarding and how to support students with mental health issues.

Administration of bursaries: With the implementation of a new system, students can apply for a range of financial support. This role will work with a second support coach and management to assess and administer applications. You will be the go-to team for information regarding bursaries and using the new system, ensure students receive timely payments.
