Animal Care Assistant (Casual)

Where you’ll work: This role is based at the College’s Hadlow campus.

Your hours: As and when required – No guaranteed hours; zero-hour contract.

Your pay: Age Related National Minimum Wage

Do you have a passion for animal care and want to work with some amazing animals of all shapes and sizes? If so, then read on.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Animal Unit Team at Hadlow College as a Casual Animal Care Assistant.

You will be working alongside the Animal Unit Team to provide husbandry in all its forms for the 500+ animals on the Hadlow College Animal Management Unit.

The right candidate should ideally have some experience working with animals in a practical setting, a positive “can-do” approach to work and interest in working within the education sector.

Team working skills and good communication skills are essential to all those who apply as you will be working cohesively alongside our existing team of Technical Instructors and Technicians to provide a high level of welfare for the animals and ensuring an overall collaborative approach to learning for our students. You will assist in maintaining the college equipment and resources to ensure it is readily available to students under the direction of the Animal Unit Manager.
