As an Assistant Estates Manager (West), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our campuses remain safe, well-maintained, and fit for learning. Working closely with the Estates Manager (West), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the maintenance and caretaking workforce across the College’s western sites.

  • Prioritising workloads based on urgency and operational need.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Working collaboratively as part of the wider Estates team, while constructively challenging existing processes and supporting continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a similar estates, facilities, or maintenance management role.
  • Strong literacy and IT skills, with confidence using online systems to manage and track work.
  • Ability to use initiative, prioritise effectively, and manage competing demands.
  • A collaborative team player with the confidence to lead and support others.
  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn new skills and embrace change.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing multiple sites and/or buildings

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estates professional who enjoys operational leadership and making a tangible difference to the learning environment.

The Role:

Where you’ll work: Based at the Hadlow & Tonbridge campuses, with travel required to other College sites as needed.

Your hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (1 FTE).

Your pay: £41,988 per annum.
