We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join the Dartford Refectory team at North Kent College. In this customer-facing role, you’ll play a key part in making every visit to the refectory a positive and memorable one.

What you’ll do:

Deliver excellent customer service with a warm and welcoming attitude

Support daily catering operations as directed, ensuring high standards at all times

Assist visitors by providing clear information about our menu, including dietary options and allergen advice

Help maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment for all learners and guests

What we’re looking for:

A basic food hygiene certificate

Experience working in a team within a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills and a helpful, customer-first approach

Confidence in using tills and handling payments

A good level of literacy and numeracy

The Role:

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (10am to 2.30pm) / 34 weeks per annum 

Salary: £9,066 per annum + £1,691.76 holiday pay (Tier 8, £22,864 Full-Time Equivalent)

Location: The role is based at the Dartford Campus, but the nature of the work may require travel to any of the College sites.
