Permanent Full Time Class Teacher
The Governing Body, staff, and pupils seek to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and committed class teacher who can support and help us to deliver the educational vision of our school, giving our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly for life. The successful candidate will:
- be a high calibre, inspiring teacher who plans worthwhile learning opportunities for our pupils building on the pupils’ knowledge, skills and experiences;
- be an excellent classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of how children learn successfully within the principles of the Curriculum for Wales through a concept based enquiry approach;
- be able to provide high quality learning experiences leading towards the four purposes while developing pupils’ integral, discipline and cross-curricular skills;
- have current, up to date knowledge of the purposes of assessment and successful experience of developing pupils’ self and peer assessments against success criteria;
- maintain excellent standards of behaviour through positive relationships;
- have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to all areas of school life and all our pupils;
- be committed to their own professional learning to develop their teaching toolkit;
- be able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to improving teaching and learning within our school.
The school is committed to sustainability, well-being and community engagement. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of, or a strong interest in, Eco Schools and environmental initiatives, as well as involvement in food based wellbeing programmes such as Big Bocs Bwyd or similar schemes that support healthy lifestyles, sustainability and community cohesion.
