ASSESSOR IN CARPENTRY AND JOINERY

Full-time 37 hours per week

Location: Newcastle & Stafford College (primary location Stafford)

Salary: £20,569 - £29,683

We are looking for suitably qualified individuals to join our pro-active, dynamic and friendly team of Assessors. The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality apprenticeships and work based training to local employers. You will assess our clients/apprentices in their place of work, and seek to combine a speedy achievement for our employers with a quality product for our candidates as well as developing and maintaining relationships with our local employers.

You will need access to your own suitable transport to be able to visit clients across the Staffordshire region.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To develop, maintain and manage relationships with local employers.

To act as a personal tutor and undertake the duties associated with this pastoral role, including accessing and updating Smart Assessor.

To deliver a proportion of remote teaching, learning and assessment (as well as on site delivery) via appropriate platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom (or equivalent).

Be aware of, and maintain compliance with, all departmental and College requirements relating to Health and Safety and the on-going training required.

Required Skills and Experience:

Has a minimum of a level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.

Has or be willing to undertake any relevant teaching and training qualification (TAQA or equivalent).

Has relevant up to date experience within industry.
