Olchfa School is seeking to recruit an excellent teacher to contribute to the Expressive Arts learning area. We are looking for a suitably qualified person who can teach Drama, whilst also contributing to the teaching of Music. The ability to contribute flexibly to the school’s curriculum offer by being able to deliver additional subjects would be desirable, but not essential.
Olchfa is part of the Innovation Schools Programme leading and shaping the design and development of the curriculum in Wales to realise the vision outlined in Professor Donaldson’s Successful Futures. We welcome applications from candidates at all levels of experience. The successful applicant could be newly qualified or highly experienced. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching are essential. They will also be committed to achieving excellence and ready to support the school’s vision.
At Olchfa, we actively encourage collaborative working and research to develop innovative teaching and learning practices, which enable all our pupils and Sixth Form students to achieve their full potential. Olchfa’s success is reflected through our ambition, our team ethos and support for one another, sustaining a positive atmosphere for learning, and the achievement of our pupils, of which we are proud.
You will be offered excellent guidance, support and ongoing development whilst at Olchfa. The school offers many opportunities for personal and professional growth and development. We take staff wellbeing seriously and can offer an attractive package which includes access to subsidised private health care for those who choose to use it. All we ask in return is your commitment to achieving excellence, your ability to inspire others and a passion for your subject.
We welcome visits from prospective applicants, and we would expect you to find that our pupils are also our best ambassadors. If this is something you would like to do, please contact the school to make those arrangements. If you require any further information, please contact the school.
