The post would be ideally suited to applicants who feel a sense of responsibility for today's young people and who are able to work flexible daytime hours. The successful candidates will be calm, organised and approachable with a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination process.
Exams Invigilators need to be reliable and punctual, empathetic towards our students and be able to follow instructions. Often unexpected situations arise during exams so a flexible approach and ability to switch priorities, is essential.
Candidates will be employed on a casual basis, with hours and days of work subject to the timings of each exam. The preparation for exams can start at the beginning of the academy day and on occasions exams can continue after the academy day has finished. Casual Exams Invigilators can choose to work mornings, afternoons or both.
All Exams Invigilators are contacted prior to the exam period to identify individual availability in relation to the examination timetable. A committed approach to the allocated dates and times is vital.
The successful candidates will work under the direction of the Exams & Data Officer and Exams Officer & Admin Assistant. Full training will be provided.
