We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Computer Science to deliver high-quality lessons that support students in achieving outstanding progress. The successful candidate will set clear learning targets, assess student progress with regular feedback, and ensure students are well-prepared for examinations. With a genuine passion for Computer Science, you’ll help our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, while staying up-to-date with current educational thinking. They will contribute to schemes of work, maintain a stimulating learning environment, and engage with parents and the wider school community. The role also involves taking responsibility for professional development and actively participating in school duties and performance management activities.

We are seeking a teacher who can deliver consistently excellent Computer Science lessons and who is driven by the ambition to help students achieve the very highest outcomes — grades 7–9 at GCSE and A and A* at A‑Level. The successful candidate will have the ability and enthusiasm to teach across the full range of our KS4 and KS5 Computer Science provision, following the OCR specification, as well as KS3 following the national curriculum.

We believe in teaching Computer Science in a way that brings the subject to life. Through engaging students in programming, computational thinking, and problem‑solving, as well as exploring real‑world applications such as cybersecurity, data representation, and artificial intelligence, we aim to develop confident, resilient, and capable computer scientists. Practical programming is a central feature of our curriculum, and students are encouraged to write, test, and refine code in a range of contexts.

Teachers in the department are encouraged to be innovative and reflective in their planning and delivery, making effective use of current, relevant, and challenging resources aligned to the OCR GCSE (J277) and A‑Level Computer Science (H446) specifications, and the national curriculum.
