Ysgol Greenhill School is an 11 to 19 comprehensive school that serves the historic walled town of Tenby and surrounding areas. Based in the picturesque surroundings of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the school is a caring, inclusive and a welcoming environment where pupils and staff are proud of their strong values and ethos.

Ysgol Greenhill is seeking to appoint another forward thinking and innovative teacher to join the Science AoLE from September 2025. This is a full time fixed term position for 1 year in the first instance with a view to make permanent for the right candidate.

The Science AoLE at Ysgol Greenhill School is a successful team that is providing excellent opportunities for pupils at all ages. This is reflected in the growing numbers of pupils who are choosing to study one or more science subjects at A-level within the school Sixth Form. We have made reducing staff workload a priority, and as such the staff within the AoLE work collaboratively, with shared resources for all year groups.

The successful candidate will be:

A qualified science teacher (this role is suitable for NQTs).

Passionate about their subject and able to inspire their pupils.

Passionate about ensuring that all children receive the best possible provision in order to achieve their potential.

A reflective practioner who is keen to develop their practice.

A supportive colleague who will work as part of a team to deliver excellent lessons for pupils.

Whilst the role may provide the successful candidate the opportunity to teach at A-level, this is not a requirement. We welcome applications from staff specialising in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

To find out more about the role, or to arrange a visit to the AoLE, please contact the school reception.
