This is a pivotal leadership role that directly shapes the student experience at Reaseheath College. Working closely with the Head of Student Services, you will provide operational oversight of our residential provision, lead on safeguarding and wellbeing practices, and ensure the highest standards of student support across campus.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about student welfare and engagement, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in enhancing student satisfaction, retention, and success, while also supporting the professional development of the Residential team. If you are committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of students and want to be part of a values-driven college community, we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and line management of the Residential team, ensuring a high-quality and student-centred service.
  • Support the Head of Student Services in leading the wider Student Services team, promoting a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion safeguarding, wellbeing, and care standards across the College, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities, best practice and College policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to deliver a fully integrated student support experience.
  • Monitor and report on safeguarding and performance issues, contributing to strategic planning and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to budget management and ensure value for money in service delivery.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and care standards in a residential or educational setting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate a team, particularly within a student-facing environment, ensuring high standards of service delivery and pastoral care.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively across departments and with external agencies.
  • Be proactive, organised, and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond to emerging issues with professionalism and care.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement, student engagement, and the enhancement of the overall student experience.
  • Be confident in using data and reporting tools to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

We can offer you:

  • 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • A two-week festive/New Year shut down
  • Generous pension scheme with an employer contribution of 20.8%
  • Enhanced sick pay of up to 6 months full pay depending upon service
  • On site gym membership available
  • Pluxee reward scheme
