About the Role
Are you a meticulous decorator with a keen eye for detail and a "can-do" attitude? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our estates team to keep our campuses looking vibrant and well-maintained.
This is more than just a painting job; you’ll be a key player in managing our aesthetic standards and ensuring a safe, functional environment for our staff and students.
Expert Painting & Decorating
Preparation: Master the basics by cleaning, sanding, filling, and stripping surfaces to ensure a flawless finish.
Application: Apply paints, varnishes, and stains to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
Specialist Finishes: Install internal and external vinyl coverings to enhance our facilities.
Project & Brand Management
Strategic Planning: Develop and manage a rolling decoration schedule across all campus locations.
Brand Alignment: Collaborate directly with the Marketing department to ensure all finishes and colours meet institutional guidelines.
Site Maintenance & Support
Versatile Repairs: Tackle planned maintenance and reactive repairs, including high-quality mastic and sealing work in kitchens and bathrooms.
Team Player: Assist with campus operations, from exam hall setups to internal furniture moves.
Safety First
Compliance: Maintain a pristine workspace and strictly adhere to COSHH regulations and storage protocols.
Working at Height: Confidently erect and utilize scaffolding and platforms to reach every corner of the site.
This role is a cross campus role requiring you to manage tasks and responsibilities effectively travelling between multiple sites with regular evening and weekend working.
You will…
You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake). You will hold a recognised industry qualification with proven experience of success in your practical abilities.
You will have experience in painting and decorating, ideally within a commercial setting.

Department Info
The Estates Group Decorator reports into the Director of Estates, Facilities, Health & Safety and Security and will work as part of the estates department. You will liaise with colleagues across all sites, as well as Directors of Campus and the Marketing department.
