We are recruiting a Section Manager for our English and Maths department.

The post holder will take overall responsibility for co-ordinating cross-college Maths and English GCSE and Functional Skills English delivery across RuTC. The post holder will line-manage a team of English and Maths specialists teaching GCSE and Functional Skills. This will involve taking a lead on IV duties, liaising with external awarding bodies, and coordinating and supporting the work of functional skills teachers/CTLs across the college.

As a Section Manager, you will be joining a friendly and supportive team with a range of industry experience, committed to the success of our learners. The start date for the role will be the beginning of September 2025.

Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and due to develop a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre for 2024. This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links – it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.
