About the Role
This is a highly exciting job opportunity for a Musical Theatre Dance teacher with specialisms in ballet, commercial and jazz preferred, to join our outstanding Performing arts team. Working within the Performing Arts department, you will be joining a team of people who are dedicated to supporting students to achieve outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate must be an excellent practitioner who shares our passion for creativity, education and raising aspirations We pride ourselves on the quality of our provision and the high expectations we have of ourselves and our students The department delivers BTEC Performing Arts in Practice, Dance and Musical Theatre, HNC Musical Theatre and A level Dance as well as a wide range of enrichment initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering Dance / Musical Theatre at post-16 and HNC Level and should be a classically trained practitioner with the ability to successfully teach a range of musical theatre dance styles. You will be a flexible and inspiring teacher with a range of skills to support curriculum delivery on Musical theatre BTEC L3 and HNC L4 and the development and training of our performers. You will be organised with excellent communication skills and familiar with the BTEC Musical Theatre and Dance qualifications. You will support the progression from the department onto Dance and Drama UK accredited schools, therefore industry experience is desirable.
