About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding Sport and Uniformed Protective Services Department at Eccles Sixth Form College as a Teacher of Sport. We are looking for a versatile and committed individual to inspire our Sport students towards academic achievement and aspirational careers. The college offers Sport courses from Level 1 to Level 3, with a strong emphasis on academic success and a sharp focus on progression.
Applicants will have a track record of excellent outcomes for students with experience of delivery at Level 3 or above. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to raise achievement and realise potential in all students through outstanding teaching, learning and support. We would welcome applications from individuals who can drive an enhanced student understanding of sport science concepts and disciplines such as Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition and Sports Injuries and Rehab. The successful candidate will benefit from access to brand new state of the art sport science resources here at Eccles College, including an Anatomage Table and Sports Science Lab.
As a department we are looking to build upon our pre-existing links with external stakeholders and partners to further align our rich curriculum with opportunities for students to develop the relevant skills for intended Sport career pathways. As such the successful candidate will need strong communication and interpersonal skill and will have up to date knowledge of the sport subject area and related current issues.
