About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our highly successful and supportive vocational
science department at Pendleton College. This full-time (1.0 FTE) role involves delivering high-quality teaching across our Access
to Science, Applied Science, and AAQ Medical Science courses, offering an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse and
motivated cohort of learners and support their progression to university, apprenticeships, and careers within the science and
healthcare sectors. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality Biology teaching across Level 3 programs,
supporting learners on Access, Applied Science, and AAQ Medical Science pathways, while planning and delivering inclusive, well
sequenced lessons that promote sustained progress. You will provide timely and developmental feedback to enhance learner
achievement and contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities. We are looking for a qualified teacher with a
specialism in Biology or a related subject, strong subject knowledge across key biological concepts, and ideally experience of
teaching post-16 learners. You will be passionate about supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds and committed
to inclusive teaching and maintaining high expectations for all learners.
