Pendleton Sixth Form College is seeking two exceptional Assistant Principals to join our ambitious College Leadership Team at a time of continued growth and evolving curriculum innovation.

These senior leadership opportunities are ideal for forward thinking leaders with a strong track record in A level provision, ready to make a significant impact on the lives, experiences and outcomes of our learners.

Post 1: Assistant Principal – STEM & Social Studies

We are seeking a highly skilled leader with expertise in STEM disciplines, such as Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, and Social Sciences. The responsibility will be to ensure these subjects continue to grow, innovate, and excel. You will lead a diverse, high performing area known for academic rigour and strong student outcomes.

Post 2: Assistant Principal – Humanities, Culture & Commerce

This role is ideal for an experienced leader with a strong background in Humanities, Business, Economics, or other related cultural disciplines. We are seeking a strategic and impact driven leader with extensive knowledge of A Level curriculum, who is committed to raising achievement, improving grades, and securing outstanding outcomes for our learners.

As Assistant Principal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the College. You will lead designated curriculum and cross college areas, ensuring that our provision remains academically rigorous, inclusive, and closely aligned to local and regional priorities. You will be a dynamic leader who inspires excellence, drives improvement and champions the very best of teaching, learning, and student support.

You will be an experienced leader with a proven track record of improving A level curriculum performance and leading successful teams within the FE or Sixth Form sector. You will be ambitious, analytical, solutions focused and committed to delivering an exceptional student experience. You will bring strong communication, influencing and partnership building skills, alongside a deep understanding of quality, curriculum planning, and the challenges and opportunities facing further education.

Most importantly, you will share our belief that every student can achieve and that great leadership unlocks potential.
